We do not collect any personal information from our users. Our apps are designed to work without requiring personal data collection.

AI Features and Third-Party Services
AskNote lets you choose between on-device AI and cloud AI services to process your notes and questions.
- If you choose on-device AI, such as Apple Intelligence or Google LiteRT-LM, all processing happens locally on your device, and your notes or questions are never sent externally.
- If you choose a cloud AI service, such as Gemini, Claude, or ChatGPT, the questions you enter and the related note content are sent to the cloud service you have connected. This content is processed by that service provider in accordance with its own privacy policy and terms of service, and we do not store or access the content transmitted in this process.
Please also review the privacy policy of any cloud AI service provider you choose to use, as data processing for that service is governed by their policies.
Use of Third-Party AI Services
If you directly select a cloud AI service (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) in Settings, using the "Ask AI" feature will send the question you entered and the title and body of any notes referenced in the conversation to the server of the selected service. This transmission occurs only when you select that service and agree to the in-app confirmation step; if you use on-device AI (Apple Intelligence, Google LiteRT-LM), no data is ever sent outside your device. Transmitted data is used solely for the purpose of generating a response, and the respective service provider's own privacy policy also applies.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
Since we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data to share or disclose. However, as described above under "AI Features and Third-Party Services," if you choose to connect a cloud AI service, your questions and note content may be sent to that service. Any anonymous usage statistics are used solely for app improvement purposes.
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
Your Rights
Since we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete. However, if you have any concerns about our privacy practices, please contact us.
Children's Privacy
Since we do not collect personal information from any users, including children, there are no special considerations for children's privacy beyond standard app safety measures.
